Socrates, the great philosopher, thinker, & teacher once said:
"The unexamined life is not worthy living."Agent Modan, food lover, food lover & food lover again modifies the great man's words into:
"A life devoid of good food is not worthy living."
The fact that I'm willing to play around with the words of one of the greatest philosophers ever known to humanity, Socrates, is enough evidence for my love for food. While I am an avid reader, I still continue to believe that my greatest companion always was and always will be good food. :p
The number of Kgs on my weighing scale testify to my commitment to stand by this great companion . While I have always been proud of my die hard love for food I realized my complete sincerity to food when after a particularly heartbreaking O'level grade fiasco I decided to devour a rather fancy Chinese lunch. (Normally when one manages B's on an 89 in THREE SUBJECTS, food is technically the last thing on one's mind)
Chinese, Italian, Pakistani, Indian, Mexican, Thai, which ever variety of food you place infront of Agent Modan, she will without fail consume with pleasure. This love for food is not just for savoury dishes but extends even more towards anything that satisfies my sweet tooth. Be it something as simple as a trifle or something as extravagant as Tirmisu. I have grown to appreciate and binge on any kind of food that is set before me.
My love for food is so intense that I generally prefer to travel to countries that are Muslim, so that I can enjoy all the good halal food that is not available in Pakistan. Therefore my favourite destination currently is Malaysia. Malaysian food by the way is horrible, not meant for our (Pakistani) rather chatpata tastes. Thai food, however, is amazing. Not to mention that when in Malaysia, Burger King, Jeco's, Wendy's & Famous Amos are a MUST try!
I prefer eating more than cooking. But since I am a fan of anything sweet, I take special interest in Baking. Toffee Brownies are my all time favourite speciality. When looking for some excellent cakes and pastries, one must visit Pie in the Sky.. And incase you haven't had the good fortune of eating Chocolate Lava Cake, here's a picture of the absolutely, sinfully divine chocolate lava cake from Reema's. If you think you're a sweet lover, that you need to try and LOVE this

So before I write an entire case study on my love for food, here's Agent Modan signing off from her report on what it is to LOVE FOOD!
P.S. There's no good food at home right now and it's nearly time for breakfast, should I make a cheese omelette for myself or is french toast better? :p
